The work
Recent cuts.
How it works
I handle everything after the shoot.
We start with a call
A short call to get on the same page: what you're making, who it's for, and when you need it. A link to something you like tells me more than a page of notes ever will.
You send the footage
Drive, Dropbox, Frame.io, a drive in the post — however it reaches me is fine. Raw is fine too. I'd rather have too much than too little.
I cut it to rhythm
Structure first, then pacing, then finish: sound mixed, colour graded, captions and graphics set in your fonts and your colours. Every cut lands where it should rather than where the clip happened to end, and the result looks like it came from you.
You review, I refine
First cut back with room to spare. Notes go on a timecoded link so nothing gets lost in email, and you get every format you need on delivery.
Working together
Three ways in.
What a job costs depends on what you've got and where it's going, so every one starts with a short call rather than a number on a page.

- Brief, edit, review, delivery
- Sound, colour and captions included
- Every format you need on handover
The Content Engine
Month to month, no contract
- Ongoing editing on a standing schedule
- Podcasts and vlogs, plus the clips from them
- Priority in the queue
- One editor who learns your voice
Clip sprint
One batch, no commitment
- A back catalogue cut into short-form
- Fixed batch, single delivery
- The low-risk way to test the fit
- No retainer, nothing to cancel
I take on a small number of clients at a time, and ongoing work gets first call on the schedule.
About
An ear trained on music, and a roster small enough to use it.
My name is Carson. I cut high-retention video: vlogs, podcasts, and the short-form clips that come out of them.
I came up on the production side. Years shooting and editing for bands, directing multi-cam shoots for live music, lectures, and events. Before that it was music, which is where I learned the thing that matters most. Timing is everything.
Knowing what to cut, what to hold, and when to let a moment breathe is the part that's hardest to teach. That's the part I'm good at, and these days it's all I do. You handle the shoot, I handle everything after.
I work with a deliberately small number of clients at a time. Creators, brands, musicians, and business owners who'd rather be doing their own job than sitting in a timeline. When you're on my roster, your results are my reputation.
- Background in music and video
- Short-form, podcasts, vlogs, promos, music videos
- One editor, brief to delivery
- Small client roster, by design
- No long-term contracts
